The Story
The
story starts in 1989 about a man who had
a love for classic muscle cars. That man's
name is Bruce Reckard.He started his business
by restoring, buying, and selling classic
cars out of a 4500 sq. ft. buildingin the
beautiful city of Riverside, CA. Bruce had
know intentionson building a huge business,
after spending 15 years of his life part
owners of a food corporation.It was time
to do something that he loved to do, he
decided to do what he loved so much as kid
and that was play with classic muscle cars.well
unfortunately for Bruce the little 8' by
12' office with 2 boxes full of parts as
his inventoryand the idea of building about
a half dozen and selling a dozen cars a
year, through a company he bought to get
started called m-detail which is still around
know thats where we are seperating the restoration
business from the parts business.Bruce was
forced to relocate after about 5 years into
a 15000 sq. ft. facility in downtown Riverside.
The restoration business got so strong that
the little place he was at just wasnt going
to cut it anymore after 15 years he had
over 800 cars through his shop. Since such
the demand for the cars he was selling and
building there was a big demand for parts
through the cliental he had built over the
years. Now after all of the years of word
of mouth advertisement that brought his
business to where its going his local business
of parts sales was getting to be to much
and holding it back would just be crazy
especially having family that has the same
love for hot muscle cars too, he formed
a partnership with his son chad. So in early
2004 bc classic and performance parts was
in business. We plan on giving our customers
the same knowledge, service, and respect
that the Reckard family is used to giving
for the last 15 years. We have been in the
industry so long we feel that the parts
we use reproduction and oem are to the highest
quality standards around and thats why we
use them on the cars we build too. Thanks
